Cloudwatching

As I was thinking of a topic to discuss this week, I thought of hobbies that I don’t personally do but I feel like I should try every once in a while. This is why I am talking about cloud watching and why it seems like a fun thing to do. I’m sure we’ve all had the experiences when we saw a cloud and we associated it with some random shape. I find this interesting because sometimes it is different for each person looking at it. I remember when I was younger and my family would drive somewhere far away I would just sit in the car and look at the clouds and make stories up about each one (mainly stories of cloud battles happening). When you see a cloud and say that it looks like something else, it’s almost like looking at stars and connecting to see something. You can do it on most days and if you are bored you can just go outside and do it. Although when it is a gray and dreary day all the clouds look the same, I still like looking and just appreciating how the clouds even form a blanket-like appearance in the first place. Of course, cloud watching probably isn’t for everyone. It takes someone who can be creative and appreciate the beauty and complexity of nature as a whole. Just writing this post let’s me envision a dark blue lake with trees all ¬†around and the sky littered with small clouds drifting in the slight breeze. I believe that cloud watching is a great way to relieve stress and just relax. I think I am going to try it the next time I go camping with family.

P.S. DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO THE SUN
